Our story
A SURF STORY THAT KEPT GOING

What first started as a surf art blog and later on a collection of Calfiornia surf inspired art prints for the Laguna Beach Ca, surf shop Thalia Surf, quickly turned into an all around creative platform for the surf industry guru Alex Krastev.
Only one block from the Huntington Beach pier is where Future Seas surf art brand was born and emerged into the surf art scene from Hawaii to Japan, and later on Hossegor, Biarritz and along the Black Sea of Bulgaria.

Now Future Seas offers a collection of hand crafted surf and mountain inspired destination T-shirts and prints fueled by Alex Krastev travels, surf, ski and snow trips, memories and good vibes only! Connect with us on Instagram:

FROM SURF ART TO FUTURE SEAS

ALEX KRASTEV - FROM WORK FOR QUIKSILVER, RIP CURL, AND TETON GRAVITY RESEARCH TO A BRAND OF HIS OWN

Somewhere between the ocean and the mountains is where Alex Krastev feels most at home.

A Bulgarian graphic designer and artist, Alex draws from years spent surfing, skiing and travelling – from California, Hawaii and Japan to Vitosha, Borovets and the mountains closer to home. Those places, people and days outside eventually find their way into his work.

Over the years, Alex has created graphics and collections for brands including Quiksilver, Rip Curl and Teton Gravity Research. His work mixes hand-drawn illustration, classic surf and mountain graphics, and a clean contemporary approach that has become distinctly his own.

Future Seas is his personal creative project.

A place for ideas that don’t belong to a client brief. T-shirts, sweatshirts and art prints built around original artwork, places worth remembering and the things Alex would rather be doing, like surfing, skiing, travelling and spending time outside.

Every graphic starts with something real, like a trip, a mountain, a wave, an old sign, a local detail or simply a moment worth turning into a drawing.

Future Seas is made for people who recognise those things too.

Art you can wear.
Made from places, stories and time spent out there.

FOR THE DAYS THAT END UP IN A DRAWING

THE FUTURE SEAS WAY

FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE FEELING

You don’t need to explain why you drove three hours for one run, waited all morning for the wind to drop, or stayed out until you could barely see. If you know, you know.

That feeling is a big part of Future Seas.

The graphics are made for people who recognise the places, references and small details because they’ve been there themselves. Skiers, surfers, mountain people – the ones who know that sometimes the whole day revolves around a wave, a run, the weather, or simply getting outside.

It’s clothing, but it also says something about where you’d rather be.

A little piece of that world, until you’re back out there.
